Coastlines is an online journal, based at Southern Cross University in Australia. It aims to publish good writing by Australian authors. The Journal was founded in 1999 as a print journal publishing the best work of creative writing students from Southern Cross. In 2025 Coastlines moved online and open submissions to contributors from around Australia.

The journal acknowledges and pays respect to the ancestors and descendants of the Lands on which Southern Cross University’s seven campuses are based, and the lands on which the members of the editorial committee work. The Land always was and always will be Aboriginal Land.
